‘Dwell with the beauty of life. Watch the stars, and see yourself running with them.’ Marcus Aurelius, Meditations.

I’ll keep saying it until I’m blue in the face and Why? Because there will never ever be enough of it around.

I make mistakes. I get things wrong. Every day is a new opportunity to be better though and that’s all I care about. I care about being better tomorrow than I am today.

Is YogaHub the best Yoga studio around? I don’t know. I don’t really think about things like that. I know there are awesome Yoga studios everywhere being the best they can be and we’re trying to be the same. What I do know is that we’re better today than we were yesterday. Is there room for improvement? Lots……………..and there always will be.

I suppose there’s a lesson in there. We compare ourselves to our peers, friends and celebrities. To people we see on the street and on TV or on our phones. We compare what we have to what other people have. The whole ‘keeping up with the Jones’ mentality. Is any of that in any way useful or helpful? Do you ever ask yourself the question ‘Is what I’m thinking right now helping or hurting me?’ Surely it’s better to think helpful thoughts?

What about comparing you to who you were yesterday though? If you meet yourself where you’re at right now and ask yourself what is within your power to improve right now?

I think when we feel powerless we think we need to make massive changes immediately that we can feel is impossible or we just can’t do it. The truth is we can be better in the tiniest of ways and if we keep working on it it’s like a bank where we keep lodging small amounts of positive change. It all adds up! And when those tiny changes start to add up guess what happens? You begin to feel powerful. By powerful I don’t mean powerful over others but more importantly powerful within ourselves.

Negativity is a powerful force. It’s true. I’m sure you’ve experienced it in some way, shape or form. You might even be feeling that way now? Positivity can take a lot more work at times. You know that quote it goes something like ‘What You Focus on You Become.’ So if I say YogaHub is Only Positive Vibes I’m not implying that things are always good at YogaHub. Sure we have our challenges and we’re all human.

What I mean is that I as a human being and then with YogaHub as my business I want to make positivity the focus. Business-Shmizzness! The minute you start to look in any way successful people love to throw the whole ‘Evil’ business owner thing around. Like all I or any other business owner is motivated by is money. Let me tell you if my only motivation was money I wouldn’t have a ‘Yoga’ business and I certainly wouldn’t be talking to you right now.

I do see YogaHub as an extension of my Yoga teaching. Yoga helps in so many ways. I see this project, no matter how long it lasts, as an opportunity to be part of the positive change that, you have to agree, is so needed in the world right now.

YogaHub is all about Yoga whether your take on it is a healthy stretch, a help with finding calm or an entire system of holistic health and wellbeing.

HappyFood is all about encouraging people to eat more ‘Happy’ Food that doesn’t hurt you, your environment or any other living thing.

OutdoorYoga is all about using Yoga as a tool to Give. To teach people that giving is much more rewarding and more importantly fulfilling than taking.

The whole lot put together is all about Only Positive Vibes because anything else just doesn’t serve me, you or anyone else.

So #onlypositivevibes I say! Today and every day 😉 Thanks for taking the time to read and have a wonderful day wherever this finds you x

I started YogaHub out of a room at the back of someone else's house back in 2012 with nothing more than an idea. I'd been teaching Yoga since 2008 and had no intention of opening a Yoga Studio. I think, like everything I've done, I just decided one day I was going to give it a try. And try I did and if you're reading this I guess I'm still trying.
